Fruit Warp keeps the base game very straightforward. Any three matching fruits pay, but hitting four of the same symbol at once triggers the Portal Respin feature. Those four fruits freeze on the screen while the rest of the symbols respin. If you land two different fruit types with four matches each, both sets lock while a single remaining symbol respins to give you another shot at improving things.

Where the slot really takes off is Fruit Mode. Hit five or more of the same fruit and that symbol becomes the mode fruit while a Warp Meter appears along the bottom. You get highly original presentation, an RTP around 97 percent, the ability to win up to 11,000x stake and a feature that mixes extra lives with growing multipliers. It runs nicely on phones and tablets as well as desktop. On the downside, the high volatility can chew through a careless balance, and the format may confuse reel traditionalists.

My own approach with Fruit Warp is to spend time in demo mode first, just to get a feel for how often Fruit Mode seems to appear at the stake level I fancy.
